1-2-1: Notion, Team, Become Better
1-2-1
Happy Tuesday!
Each Newletter includes 1 thing to try, 2 quotes to stir ideas, and 1 action to take.
1 Thing to try
Do you have a digital space where you keep all of your notes? Is it organized and easy to share? This tech will help!
Okay, so I've tried out both ClickUp and Notion and NotionHQ wins for me handsdown. It's easy to get started, clean, and just feels better.
I'm currently making the transition from Evernote (which I've used for almost 15 years) to Notion for my "digital brain" and I've seen many others doing the same thing. I use Notion to keep track of LinkedIn post ideas, the watches I want to purchase, and my business roadmap.
One of the other benefits of using Notion is their extensive template library. You can check it out here: Notion Templates.
Try out Notion.so and let me know how it goes for you!
2 Quotes
"If someone were to ask me to make a list of the most valuable qualities a person should develop in order to thrive in the world of work—and for that matter, life—I would put being a team player at the top. The ability to work effectively with others, to add value within the dynamics of a group endeavor, is more critical in today's fluid world than it has ever been. Few people succeed at work, in the family, or in any social context without it."
Lencioni, Patrick M.. The Ideal Team Player: How to Recognize and Cultivate The Three Essential Virtues (p. ix). Wiley. Kindle Edition.
"Whether you work for yourself or work for a company, giving your customers or your boss an incredible return on their investment is the key to building your personal wealth.
Each of the team members in my company is a terrific investment; otherwise, they never would have been hired. And even though I own the company, I have to be a value-driven professional too. If my products and I are not a good economic investment, my career and my company are doomed. Each of us has to wake up in the morning and give people a return on the time, energy, and money they entrust to us. This is the secret to success. If you want to succeed in work, love, friendship, and life, give the people around you a great return on whatever it is they invest in you."
Miller, Donald. Business Made Simple (p. xix). HarperCollins Leadership. Kindle Edition.
